Christina Grimmie wasn’t the slightest bit shy when it came to expressing her love for video games.

With a YouTube channel name like “zeldaxlove64,” it was quite evident that Christina shared a deep passion for the virtual world. And, what better way to honor Christina, her music and her fondness for anime than making her an awesome superheroine?

On Friday, two days before what have been the singer’s 23rd birthday, Christina’s family released an animated music video for her posthumous single “Invisible.” In the visual, her character’s mission is to restore the light back into the city. This is symbolic of her desire to bring light and love into the hearts of others.

Last month, Christina’s brother, Marcus discussed the family’s decision to release her unheard music on the Elvis Duran and The Morning Show.

“It’s completely and utterly amazing because obviously we were devastated as a family,” Marcus said about the emotional choice. “For the first three months, we didn’t even do anything, and then around August, I would say, we were like, ‘Hey, you know, we have so much music that she’s been working on.’ And close fans, friends and family have asked us about it constantly, and we owe it to her.”

“Since about 2015, she’s been just grinding it out, writing songs, and has about 50-60 songs that are finished vocally, and she’d just been putting in hard work,” he added. “It’s unbelievable, no one that I have ever met has worked as hard as she has, and that’s for sure. We’re very excited to be doing this the way she wanted it done.”

Christina’s EP Side B will be released this spring through Republic Records.
