George Shelley confirmed at the Capital FM Summer Time Ball that he has recently been in the recording studio working on his debut solo album, after an unexpected exit from boyband Union J earlier this year saw him replaced by Casey Johnson for the bands upcoming third album, which they are currently recording in LA.
George, who serves as co-host on the Capital FM London Breakfast Show and was the runner up on last years I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, was joined at the Summertime Ball with his co-hosts Dave Berry and Lilah Parsons, where he exclusively told Digital Spy about his music plans.
“I’m in the studio quite a lot. Songwriting is a passion of mine, so I’m never going to stop doing music.” said George. “I actually played Dave one of my songs the other day.”
Dave had nothing but praise for the song, saying “It’s sounding really good. It does, honestly.”
George is also reportedly up for a presenting role on The X Factor’s spin off show The Xtra Factor. X Factor audition have already kicked off, but the spin off shows presenting line up has yet to be announced, and no presenters have been known to attend the recent auditions.
